Can the car I rented be driven by someone other than me?
Yes. With the authorisation of the main driver, it is possible to associate another person, called an "additional driver", to the same rental contract. At the time of pick-up of the vehicle, the main driver and the additional driver must be indicated and the documentation of each one must be presented (ID / Citizen Card / Passport, Driving License and Taxpayer Card).
You should contact our Auto Green Reservation Center (+351) 289 301 227 and Roadside Assistance (contact number next to the vehicle's documents), if the breakdown/problem makes it impossible to move the vehicle.
You should always fill out the Friendly Declaration of Motor Accident (DAAA) and call the authorities (No. 112). You must report to Auto Green and deliver to our Headquarters in Vilamoura all documentation related to the accident (DAAA and the Occurrence Report provided by the authorities).
The vehicle must be returned by the same time of pick-up (with a tolerance of 30m) or the time designated in the rental contract. After this period, 1 extra day is charged.
An extra amount may be applied, related to the cost of the Return Fee to the place of origin, unless previously agreed with Auto Green in the rental agreement.
No. All vehicle segments available in our fleet can be driven with a Light Vehicle license (Category B).
We only make confirmations in relation to the vehicle category and the group to which it belongs. Auto Green only guarantees the reserved category and not the model. However, we will try our best to satisfy the customer with the specific request of the vehicle model, in advance.

Can I book extras or additional equipment?
Yes, you can book additional extras online, through the Reservation Center (+351) 289 301 227 or directly at the time of pick-up (subject to availability).

The TOP SCDW insurance loses validity in cases of negligence, misuse, driving under the influence of alcohol or other illicit substances, glass, tires, locks and damage to the interior of the vehicles. However, this insurance eliminates the value of any type of deductible in full, taxed per day according to the type of vehicle. Yes. You should contact our Reservation Center at (+351) 289 301 227 or by email [email protected], always indicating the reservation number. The cancellation of reservations and as long as it occurs up to 48 hours before the date of the reservation, no amount is charged. After this period, the amount corresponding to one night's rental is charged.
Minimum age of the driver and additional drivers is 25 years for all rental vehicles. Drivers must have a valid driver's license for at least 2 years.
No. However, in the case of long journeys, for example to Spain, you must confirm this extra when you make your reservation online, by clicking on the option "Cross Border to Spain" (only then will the insurance be valid in Spain).
Yes. Auto Green offers a Delivery and Collection Service, through which you will no longer have to go to one of our Stations to pick up or deliver your rental car, and it can be delivered and collected at a place to be agreed upon of your preference. This service can be requested in your Online Reservation or through our Reservation Center (+351) 289 301 227 - confirmation needed.
It can be partially or totally reduced, by taking out optional insurance, depending on the vehicle and number of days.
You can confirm the values by making a reservation simulation, as it varies according to the type of vehicle and the optional insurances subscribed. You can also consult the values in the "General Terms and Conditions - Franchises".
If damage occurs for which you are responsible during the rental, you will be charged the amount corresponding to its repair up to the maximum amount of the excess.

Yes. Just indicate the reservation number or if you wish it can be made directly to an Auto Green employee at a place to be arranged.
Vehicle Pick-up
Is it necessary to check the condition of the vehicle before leaving the station/rental location?
Yes, at the time of delivery, a thorough check of the vehicle is carried out by the driver together with an Auto Green employee, in order to update the data contained in the rental agreement regarding the condition of the vehicle. This procedure is repeated when the vehicle is taken back.
What ID documents do I need to present at the Auto Green drop-off station / location when picking up the car? 1) Driving licence, issued more than two years ago and valid in the EU; 2) Identification document, passport, identity card/citizen card; 3) Taxpayer card for residents in national territory.
We are sorry, but in these situations it will not be possible, as the presentation of all documents is mandatory to rent an Auto Green vehicle, as required by law in Portugal.
Auto Green offers very low rates, the same as those we offer our agents, so it is much cheaper to book a car locally.
Return of the Vehicle
Can I extend the rental duration?
It is possible to extend the duration of the rental at the time of pick-up or during the rental itself. You should contact Auto Green by phone (+351) 289 301 227 or go to the nearest rental station. The extension is subject to vehicle availability and additional payment according to the number of days.
Parking fines and any violation of the highway code are the responsibility of the contract holder who must settle them before returning the vehicle. Fines received at Auto Green Stations after the end of the rental, the contract holder is identified with the competent authorities. Likewise, all amounts associated with tolls, SCUT's or other similar amounts occurring during the rental are the responsibility of the driver.

Yes, Auto Green has the "Out of Hours" service available to respond to situations outside the opening hours of the Stations. This situation must be requested at one of our Stations, by calling (+351) 289 301 227 or to [email protected], up to at least 48 hours in advance (confirmation needed).
Please leave your rental car in the same car park where it was picked up – P4 (Rent a Car). The P4 car park has a system for reading all the license plates of Auto Green vehicles. When your vehicle approaches, the gate will open and you will give you a parking ticket that we ask you to leave in the vehicle when returning the car.
